What is Deep Root Fertilizing?

In a forest, trees create their own food or natural fertilizer by shedding their leaves in the fall and branches naturally decaying on the forest floor. In urban environments the leaves and branches are cleaned up leaving nothing to return to the soil. Other plants and grasses are also competing for the soils nutrient content. The result of this is decline of the tree, slow healing, dieback, stunted growth and in some cases eventual death to the tree.

At TreeFeed.ca we offer a deep root fertilization program with slow release nitrogen that ensures your tree gets the nutrients it requires spaced out over 9 to 12 months. This deep root fertilizer will encourage healthy deep root growth, promote healing of wounds and prune cuts and aid the tree in fighting insects and disease. Deep Root Feeding can be done on almost all trees and shrubs, even cedars.
